The Essential Service is designed for decks that have moved beyond light upkeep. If your timber is fading, uneven or losing protection, this service provides the preparation needed to properly restore performance and appearance — without the intensity of a full restoration.
It’s the most common step up when a deck has been left a little too long.
Our most popular option for weathered but structurally sound timber.
Our Essential Service provides thorough preparation and protection for decks that have moved beyond basic maintenance. It removes worn coatings and surface weathering, restoring appearance and durability without the need for intensive tannin removal.
What’s included:
- Full machine sand – Removes old coatings, surface imperfections and weathered timber
- Nail & screw punching – Secures raised fixings before sanding to protect boards and ensure an even finish
- Application of two coats of premium timber oil – Enhances colour, durability and weather resistance
Best for:
Decks untreated for 12–18 months or showing signs of wear, fading or uneven colour — but not requiring deep tannin removal.
Why do we punch nails & screws?
Raised fixings damage sanding equipment and can split boards. Punching ensures a smooth, even finish and is included in all restoration services.
